Biography

Gioele Andreolli (b. 1997), originally from Ponte Arche (Trento, Italy), is a pianist and conductor specialized in professional choral preparation and opera repertoire. He currently serves as Répétiteur for the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir and at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana (SLO). His professional career spans piano accompaniment, vocal coaching, and the musical preparation of professional ensembles.

Education

His musical education began in Trento (I), where he took his first steps at the city's Music High School and Conservatory. He then moved to Milan to specialize as an Opera Répétiteur and Vocal Coach at the "G. Verdi" Conservatory, graduating with highest honors (maximum marks and praise) under the guidance of Maestros Umberto Finazzi and Luigi Marzola. Subsequently, driven by a deep dedication to vocal music, he returned to the      "F. A. Bonporti" Conservatory in Trento, earning a diploma in Choral Conducting under Professor Petra Grassi.

He further advanced and integrated his training through the following programs:

  • Specialization Course for Opera Répétiteurs at the Accademia dei Mestieri dell’Opera (Teatro Coccia, Novara).

  • Summer Courses for Répétiteurs at the Accademia Teatro alla Scala in Milan (2020 and 2021 editions).

  • Advanced Masterclasses in Piano with Denis Zardi and in Vocal Accompaniment with Enza Ferrari.

  • Diplomas in Organ and Choral Conducting at the Diocesan Institute of Sacred Music in Trento.

Experience & Collaborations

Since 2019, he has worked regularly with leading international festivals, theaters, and competitions. Highlights of his career include engagements with the Rossini Opera Festival Foundation in Pesaro, the Teatro Coccia Foundation in Novara, the "Riccardo Zandonai" International Competition in Riva del Garda, the "Settenovecento" Philharmonic Orchestra, the "Cantoalato" Academy in Milan, and the Accademia Chigiana in Siena.

His professional activity has led him to work alongside internationally renowned conductors such as Trevor Pinnock, Stephen Layton, Federico Maria Sardelli, Grete Pedersen, Bas Wiegers, Holger Speck, and many others. Furthermore, he has served as a collaborative pianist for masterclasses held by world-famous singers, including Alessandro Corbelli and Vivica Genaux.

Alongside his piano career, he is an active conductor of prominent ensembles. His conducting and choral preparation credits include the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir, the SAT Choir, the Domžale Chamber Choir, the "Forte" Polyphonic Choir of Vojnik, and the "Giardino delle Arti" opera ensemble in Trento.

He currently serves as a Répetiteur for the Slovenian Philharmonic Choir in Ljubljana and at the Slovenian Academy of Music. He is also the Musical Director of the Domžale Chamber Choir.

Awards and Publications

Throughout his career, Gioele Andreolli has earned prestigious recognitions in international competitions, including first prize at the IMKA Music Competition in Sarajevo and the "Diapason d’oro" in Pordenone. He also distinguished himself by winning second prize at both the "Città Murata" and "Città di Piove di Sacco" competitions, as well as a highly prestigious third prize at the "Elsa Respighi" International Competition in Verona.

His research and musicology work is reflected in several articles published in specialized journals such as "Coralità" and "Judicaria", demonstrating his ongoing commitment to promoting and preserving choral and musical heritage.
